A Bunch More Pens
Pens! Something other than video games that I know about! (or at least, enjoy) I’ll start off by responding to your favorites:
Marvy Le Pen — pen lovers, come fight on this one.
I’ve actually never used a Marvy Le Pen before; will have to try them out. I love how your rating went from 8/10 to 9/10 through the course of your piece.
Various Zebra Sarasas, especially the Clip — Uniball lovers, sorry
I used a lot of Zebras when I was in school and I found them way too slippery, perhaps they have a bit more traction now.
Pilot Juice 0.38 and Pilot Hi-Tec-C Maica 0.4 — My favorites of the Pilot I tried
I like Pilots in general, but oh my goodness, I cannot write with anything that fine. I press down fairly hard when I write and I get scared I’m going to snap off the tip or tear into the page so I usually avoid them like the plague. 0.5 is my limit.
Uniball 207 — Love this pen, but hate the updated 307 even though they are nearly identical as far as I understand
Oh, these were pretty good! Although I think I started to hate gel pens after a while due to my writing style, the pens used to stick to the paper since I press down so hard.
Overall, I think your choices are all fine; to each their own pen.
Also, that Wirecutter article is silly.
My Arsenal
I too, am always on the hunt for the perfect pen. I tend to take a lot of notes and draft on physical paper so I get very picky about what I write with. I haven’t tried out new pens recently, mostly because I’m too lazy to do the research… But now I have your article to go off of! Plus, buying the wrong pen is pretty stressful. :(
