Alex, I enjoyed reading your beyerdynamic reviews so far, you point out some good marks over there. However, for the purpose of whose main target is metal, would this pair be a good option to go for? (€148.00 @amazon.de)

I keep reading Audio-Technica ATH-M50X pushed forward almost on all rock/metal reviews which start feeling repetitive one after the other, therefore I’m not convinced and comfortable with the idea.

What would you prefer if you were up to be picking a metal/rock over-ear headphone for a max range up to ~€150?

I also consider getting open/semi-open over-ear headphones for around the same price bracket to use on non-public areas, except I can push my limits slightly further than that.
