Thanks Eyal, I understand sticky sessions. Our deployment is going to be multi nodes behind the elb without sticky sessions and with redis as in-memory cache. For first release we will be explicitly going with long polling provided by socket.io, so wanted to will there be any issues if I don’t use sticky session with socket.io and socket.io-redis.
