Slabs and columns and spatial loops(OMA)

The technique I have researched is the Slabs, columns and spatial loops. This technique was created by OMA which was a Dutch architecture firm and was founded in 1975. According to the Jussieu Library, rather than traditionally stacking levels upon another, OMA reconfigures the floor planes to connect to one another, which create a single, fluency trajectory. Moreover, they used columns to support the whole structure of the building and separate the differently functional areas. So, according to the research, I made five draft model to develop my final work. In the figure one, I used woods to show columns. The columns support the structure effectively. In the figure two, I focused on the floating, and I used the paper to connect every level. Moreover, in the figure three, I also focused on the floating, but I changed the materials, used the wood instead of the paper, because wood is stronger than paper. In figure four, the whole structure is wood, and I concentrated on the columns. I used nine columns to support the floor. Furthermore, I combined four draft models, which showed the columns, slabs and spatial loops. For the columns, I used sixteen columns to support the whole building. Moreover, I used plastic board because this material is tough enough to keep the stable levels. What is more, it can be curved, which can be demonstrated the floating structures. Besides, I added some detail about the model such as single tables, bookshelf, and the big tables which can provide people for discussion.

This is my final work. I added more columns to support the building and it could be used to separate differently functional areas. Moreover, I did not build the door, and the level one is connect with outside because it is the public space. Furthermore, I did the connections of each level around the building. In the level two, I did a half of the size because it looks hierarchic. What is more, I made the roof of the building.
