“No Gerrard, actually I haven’t yet gotten around to rereading it. I know there are hidden gems in the middle of the main effort. The bulk of the work is deeper, beneath the superficial banter intended to attract Facebook types.”
“One of these days I’ll chart my multiple epiphanies, see where it leads me. Truth is that if people are able to put their prejudices aside, they will think and act differently based on more complete, less biased information. The way I see it, there’s entirely too much concern given to the lives of others. Thus, bettering oneself should take precedence over bashing others. More worry should be given to the kinks in one's armor than the general attire of any other. I believe that Americans love being distracted — they like to escape from that which is uncomfortable. Nothing wrong with entertaining oneself occasionally, the problem is that for many, learning wasn’t made to be fun. Thus it is the quality, the very substance of the material they are consuming that further prejudices them. It is a vicious circle of self-fulfilling prophecy. On the one hand Facebook gossip preys on the shallow superficial whims of its users, yet with the other they champion interconnectedness. I say with more real world experience and research, less Facebook voyeurism and salaciousness, this world will be a much better place with a more fulfilled citizenry.”
