In January, we set out to create a platform for intelligent stories and interesting, entertaining conversations. We will make this platform –60dB– broadly available to the public soon.

Our team believes great, short audio stories come from the most unexpected places. Right now, listeners have to search all over to find these stories. What 60db does is collect them from everywhere we possibly can, and direct the best ones right to you.

We could not be more excited about the stories you will find on 60dB.

At 60dB, we are bringing together work from some of the best journalists working today. We have incredible storytellers, and are tapping into unexpected sources. It’s an entirely different kind of listening experience, one built around short, timely stories, chosen uniquely for you.

We’ve designed 60dB to fit into all the bits of time you have throughout the day. It works when you go for a quick run, or when you hop in the car for your 30-minute commute. It works when you’re doing the dishes your roommate left stacked in the sink. And it works if you have two hours to kill. We’ve got you covered when your eyes and hands are busy, but your mind is curious. We are there for you when you have 10 minutes and want to catch up on the world.

So what will you hear when you tune in to 60dB?

You’ll find incredible reporting from Kai Rysdall and the team at Marketplace, from the BBC, and from up-and-coming voices like Jeremy Hobson and Robin Young on Here & Now. We have comedy — like Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Sports, from ESPN Radio and others. Business news from Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal. And we will bring you audio stories you won’t hear anywhere else, where our team interviews reporters from The Atlantic, Fusion, Mic, Motherboard and The New York Times, among others, to get the story behind their stories.

We have news and stories from around the world. If you have a podcast you love, chances are we have it. And there’s a lot more to come.

You’ll notice not all of these stories start as audio. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is a TV show. But many of The Late Show’s segments work just as well for your ears as they do for your eyes. At 60dB, we are passionate about great short stories. And we’re finding gems in unexpected places.

There are thousands of great, timely stories out there in the world; and there’s an enormous audience for this work. But until now, there hasn’t been a place you can go that collects these stories in one place, and brings you the ones you want to hear — on your schedule.

That’s what we’re building with 60dB — a new listening experience with a broader mix of stories than any other platform offers today. We can’t wait for you to try it. If you’d like us to let you know when it’s available, click here to sign up. We’ll be in touch soon.
