Why self worth is based on the number of likes/comments on a post.

In today’s generation, life isn’t actually “life” unless it’s posted on social media, and the value of that memory or picture is given by the number of likes and comments. In today’s evolving society, peoples jobs have evolved over the years as well. Most have forgotten about being teachers, doctors, lawyers, etc. Today people dedicate their time posing for pictures over and over again until they have their “winner” and get paid for it. Living off of the checks of companies that are advertised by them.
Popularity on social media is the “big thing” that is mostly infecting the minds of female adolescents. Skinny, built, overly photo-shopped models advertise their clothing, food, makeup, and then-some to get people to purchase what they are advertising. They’re promising their false “natural” beauty, targeting young teenage girls.
Studies show that teenage girls have gotten depression linked with obesity for not living up to today's beauty standards. Girls are at the coming of age and are most vulnerable to false beauty. It is much easier for a teen girl to quickly feel unworthy “your value does not decrease based on someones inability to see your worth”.
