TL:DR; Things are ok; if you don’t like it, you can move out.

Hey, but how about spray painting “tourists go home”, “balconing is fun” or, my personal favourite, “why call it tourist season if we can’t shoot them”? Where is the paragraph dedicated to your modern methods of getting your voice heard — defacing your own city?

You pride yourself in saying that you’re defending human rights, but this was never the issue. I’ve never seen or heard about anyone being denied housing due to a tourist related problem. Furthermore, you have the right to live where you can afford to, not where you’d like to.

You’re calling for a fair and inclusive city, and you want public, affordable housing. I’m not sure you understand what “inclusive” means because as an expat, I’ve never seen a more friendly city/community, and frankly, this is not only my opinion. As for the affordable housing, I assume you mean “lower prices” because Barcelona isn’t really a ghost town at the moment; I’m sorry but you simply cannot demand this in a well functioning society that runs on a set of rules put in place by people who actually know what they’re doing; you cannot change the rules only to favour yourselves.

In this article you will see that all you’re doing is spreading a negative image of the city you so dearly cherish and of the people you so bravely defend.

If you want to be taken serious, propose solutions for problems that actually exist and be sure to write them down on paper, not on walls next to some of the world’s most beautiful landmarks.
