Tua Tagovailoa Suffers Another Concussion!

What does the future hold for Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins?

In September of 2022, Tua Tagovailoa suffered two concussions within a week. He was stumbling after the first one and his body began fencing (involuntarily contracting his muscles) after the second. People were shocked to see him on the field after his first concussion.

To make matters worse, he suffered another head injury in December of the same year that benched him for the rest of the season. People questioned the Dolphins’ handling of the situation and many believed they put Tua in too much risk.

Tua considered retiring after the 2022-2023 season, but instead decided to learn how to protect himself better. This seemed to work well as he played the entire season last year without injury.

Unfortunately, yesterday (Thursday, September 12th) Tua Tagovailoa suffered yet another concussion, in a game against the Buffalo Bills, where his body began fencing, again, for a moment. He was able to walk off the field on his own, but looked dazed. They quickly ruled him out for the rest of the game.

Looking ahead, there are many questions that need to be answered. Some of these questions are difficult to answer and begin to dive into the realm of ethics. This goes beyond usual…
