888 Inner Circle IRL Recap #BARCELONA2023
From August 25th to August 27th, the 888 Inner Circle hosted our 2nd ever IRL event in the breathtaking metropolis of Barcelona, Spain. We also presented our very first NFT Gallery Art Exhibition featuring our Inner Artists and in conjunction with our incredible partners at Mrs. Toolip Art Gallery. More than 50 of our Verified Inner Artists exhibited their work at the event and given the amount of time, energy and resources that went into planning the event, we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
As one of Web3’s leading tokenized membership clubs, we recognize that a project is only as strong as the community behind it. We are quite literally defined by our community, one that is filled with artists, art lovers, entrepreneurs and innovators. While there is a certain level of connection that can be made online there is simply no substitute for in-person interaction. These IRL events provide a unique opportunity for members of our community, from across the globe, to gather and forge lifelong friendships. The 888 Inner Circle remains committed to providing a lifetime of benefits and events for our community that grows stronger each and every day.
Welcome Drinks
We kicked off the weekend with a casual happy hour & nibbles at El Nacional Barcelona, one of Barcelona’s leading gastronomic food halls. The historical site which once used to be a theater, factory and car park, is now home to 8 restaurants and bars all under one modernista roof.
Private Inner 8 Boat Trip
Saturday was an early morning start for our Inner 8 members (those token holders of 8 or more Genesis passes) as we set sail on a private boat for an afternoon of sun, fun & champagne in the beautiful Mediterranean waters overlooking Barcelona. Our most loyal and supportive members enjoyed a breathtaking boat trip and an amazing paella and sangria lunch afterwards.
Beer Tasting Odyssey
Next up was a bespoke private brewery tour at Cerveceria Ogham open to all of our Genesis & Realm token holders. We were given a full brewery tour by the owner, and also had a chance to taste the various brews that were produced onsite. Those members who joined received a surprise treat at the end which was a 6 pack of our very own customized 888 Inner Circle beer!
888 Inner Artist Initiative X Mrs. Toolip Art Gallery Event
On Saturday night we hosted our main gala event at Mrs.Toolip Art Gallery. This event officially marked the 1st year anniversary of the 888 Inner Artist Initiative and was open to all of our Genesis & Realm holders, our Inner Artists, as well as the public. More than 50 of our Verified Inner Artists exhibited their work and we were absolutely blown away by the turnout, as well as the level of curiosity and engagement on the part of the participants. Many of them were new to Web 3.0 so it was an honor and a privilege to introduce them to some of the benefits that NFTs could offer both artists and collectors. 888 Inner Circle Token Holders’ Dinner
Immediately following the Gallery Event, we hosted our Token Holders’ Dinner at Cheri, one of Barcelona’s most exquisite and classic bistros, featuring a full three course dinner of Mediterranean and local fare. Drinks were provided as well. It was a great way to end the night and celebrate our community’s successful gallery event.
Farewell Brunch
The action packed weekend finally came to a close on Sunday with a farewell brunch for all of our Genesis & Realm holders at Flax & Kale, Barcelona’s leading healthy flexitarian restaurant. Our members enjoyed one final meal together filled with laughter and memories from the great weekend.
Merch!!!
Merch??? Of course there was Merch!!! No 888 Inner Circle IRL Event would be complete without a merch drop and our attendees all left with the highest quality 888 Inner Circle gear. We had three pieces of merch that we gave away during the event, depending on our attendees’ membership tier including hats, polo shirts, and backpacks (exclusively for our Inner8 members).
Looking Ahead
It is quite something when a plan comes together. After months and months of planning, our 2nd ever 888 Inner Circle IRL meetup finally happened and it was a spectacular success. We have received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback after the event from our community members that joined. On behalf of 888 and the entire Team & Moderators, we want to sincerely thank our amazing partners including Mrs. Toolip Art Gallery, all of our Verified Inner Artists who shared their talent and work with us, and finally each and every one of you community members who made the effort to show up and spend time with us in Barcelona.
Each time our community meets IRL, we get stronger and forge lifelong friendships. This is precisely why we have placed such great emphasis on organizing unforgettable IRL experiences for our most loyal community members. We at the 888 Inner Circle have never stopped growing, supporting art and artists and building a lifetime of memories together with our community.
For those of you who were unable to join us in Barcelona, rest assured that we are building a global, lifetime membership club, so there will be many future IRL events around the world where we hope to meet each and every one of our amazing community members.
