Rafflesia is a prestigious brand inextricably linked with the fabric of Malaysian fashion and trailblazing women who have been icons of their time. A luxury brand that has been around for a quarter of a century known for crafting stunning pieces of jewellery has now innovatively branched out to provide clothing and an extensive range of retail products.
Rafflesia’s sister brand, Mandalay, customised the opulent jadeite brooch and earrings set encrusted with diamonds for Michelle Yeoh, which can be seen in Crazy Rich Asians. 8SIAN are honoured to have been able to secure a partnership with Rafflesia to continue this rich tradition of celebrating the strong female archetype. We hope to encourage women globally to break through boundaries to realise their vast potential.
With this partnership we hope to support Rafflesia in their continual quest to bring innovation to their brands and help bridge such a respected company with the Metaverse.

- In line with 8SIAN’s belief, Rafflesia also designed a Songket collection, incorporating tradition and modernity. — For reference Songket is a traditional piece of clothing often worn in Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore.
- Songket is a Tenun fabric famed in the Malay world — known for it’s intricately decorative designs and often made of coloured silks, sometimes with threads of gold and silver! The contrast between the metallic threads and the coloured silks create an amazing shimmering-like effect.
