On March 7th, we are electing a new mayor and will be at a crossroads. Do we want to continue the policies of the last 16 years which have ignored parts of our city, or do we want policies that work for all of Saint Louis? A mayor has to work for all residents, not just Tower Grove, CWE, and Downtown residents. The mayor of Hyde Park and Carondelet is the same mayor of Soulard and the West End. I am only 16 years old, I don’t understand all the functioning parts of city government, but imagine the Saint Louis you could create for me and your kids in 10 years, 20 years, or 30 years, if the mayor worked for all of Saint Louis. On March 7th, I am counting on voters not to chose a candidate that will only pay attention to the neighborhoods where their votes and money come from. On March 7th, I don’t want Saint Louisans to make the same mistake they’ve made for too long. On March 7th, I urge Saint Louisans to vote for a candidate that understand the concerns and life of all Saint Louisans — don’t vote for Lyda Krewson.
