#1: German Bread
After arriving in Irlam Sabrina already purchased some food and basic stuff for surviving the weekend. On Friday we went again to two of the many stores and bought some more stuff.
Very important to us was buying bread. In the markets we had a huge range of sorts. But just one type: Toast!
Most of the wrapped breads are fluffy toasts. Just ordinary, with sunflower seeds or even wholemeal toast. Beside the different toasts in the 8 meters long rack we could find two familiar looking bread varieties. They are called “German Rye Bread” and “German Sunflower Bread”. As you can see on the package there are labels which are pointing out that the bread is suitable for vegetarians and freezable.
Beside the “German Bread” we bought the ingredients for backing our own bread.
I will write about our experience with the English bread later again.
