The Biggest City of Southern China
Have you ever been to south of China? If you do, you must have been to Guangzhou, the biggest city and the most beautiful city of southern China. I have lived there for almost ten years. In some sense, I am an “Old Guangzhou”, who knows a lot of things of Guangzhou.
Guangzhou is the capital of Guangdong province, the south of China. It is one of famous cities of China. Maybe you know its another name: Canton. The most famous scene of Guangzhou is Canton Tower, which is a television tower, located on the Zhujiang river. All sightseers were impressed by its architectural style. It looks like a woman’s waist, who has a nice figure.
The most prosperous region of Guangzhou is Zhujiang new town, which is located on the other side of the Zhujiang river. There are many big companies, and only rich people can live there for the sake of expensive rent. Sun Yet-sen University, which is nearby the Canton tower and Zhujiang new town, is the well-known university of Guangdong province. I have study there for nine years, and I got my undergraduate degree there. Now I am working on my PHD degree. I do love this nice campus.
Not like Norfolk (people often stay home at night), people lived there would like to come out for enjoying the night scene of the Zhujiang river at night. The light of the buildings around the Zhujiang river could form a whole animation. What an amazing thing! In addition, the ships sailing on the river are decorated by colorful light as well. If you walked on the riverside, I am sure you would be impressed by this scene.
There are many good things I want to tell you, such as colorful flowers and delicious food. You don’t need a car to travel around Guangzhou because it has a very powerful traffic network. You can take a bus almost everywhere, and it also has subway. It is convenient. You don’t need to buy a lot of foods, which can eat for a week, to fill your refrigerator. There are many supermarkets in Guangzhou. You can eat fresh food everyday.
