My 1st ₦200K from Design
In 2020 (lock down), I sold for ₦200K an Instagram account I had grown for 19 months, the account had 161k organic followers, each post having 7k — 12k likes, a particular reel had 950k+ views.
It was a digital art page showcasing photo manipulation and art works from Designers around the World.
My #psduniverse still lives on 😄
I made little money from custom art and sponsored posts.
Managing the page had become time consuming, staying up-to-date with trends, monitoring metrics, performance, uploading content 3 times daily, organizing design contests, while creating YouTube tutorial videos.
If there’s anything I love more than design, it’s Photography. I was going to buy a used Canon camera for about ₦250K but then again, I thought ‘let me invest the money’.
I invested ₦150K in agriculture with a Company I know nothing about, they promised a large return in 3 months.
😂 Yes, I was duped and I already lavished the ₦50k, 19 months of work straight down the drain.
The best investment you can make is on yourself! You have absolute control over the outcome.
If you don’t have enough to invest in real estate or agriculture, you can invest your time, gadgets, funds and resources in;
✅ Learning more skills
✅ Buying productivity gadgets
✅ Creating content
✅ Creating digital products (courses, e-books, templates, assets etc.)
✅ Buying self-improvement books, entrepreneurship and business books
✅ Physical fitness because health is wealth, you’ll only enjoy your money when you’re hale and hearty.
