Jack, I really enjoyed reading this. I’m relatively new to my freelance career (let my in-house design job of 8 years and went freelance last November). I’m absorbing all the advice I can get. Funded startups are exactly the kind of client I hope to get, but I struggle to find them. Do you have any tips for finding tech startups? I’m based in Liverpool, so I have the benefit of being in a big city, which is wonderful.

I was also really happy to see you say that blogging actually brought you a lot of enquiries. I’ve just started putting some real effort into creating some blog content. It’s a learning curve, as I’m obviously not a writer by trade, but it’s enjoyable, I must say.
