One perspective of heaven is the ever-changing. A place where rhyme and reason themselves have been set in motion and made to dance. Every sight a wonder, every sound a symphony, each like and not unlike the one that came before it.

One perspective of heaven is a place on earth you build with those whom you love. A collection of lives building a heaven together.

One perspective of heaven is as a field on a sunny day. A gentle herd of hills clamor into and out of view off into the horizon. Yellow hills. Mustard in full bloom. The great yellow arc of the earth meeting the great blue arc of the sky. Atop one hill, a lone windmill pulling strong and steady.

One perspective of heaven is a perfect day. The one greatest confluence of events a day has ever seen. A day laden in memory with important events, influential ones, and happy. Life’s best decisions.

One perspective of heaven is falling forever. An adrenaline-fueled rush, the whole world flying past you. Everything at a distance, but as if almost within arm’s reach.

One perspective of heaven the best dance party ever thrown. The dancefloor animated, coordinated, a unison of bodies in rhythm with each other. The music spills across them, rippling through their minds, and out their minds and through their bodies. Dance! A command as if from high. A compulsion to get a move on. Chasing heaven.

One perspective of heaven is a place that you never actually get to. A ladder going up and up, a staircase to heaven. A pursuit that your can never seem to catch. An itch that you can never seem to satisfy, but which gives you most pleasure to scratch. A tower in search of the moon.

One perspective of heaven is a reunion. The greatest re-union of ever, where everyone shares their lifes, reconnecting with all those random strangers you’ve passed in your way. Many with no more than the briefest of contacts, the barest rememberence. Some with the most heartfelt impact. Some most beloved. Old rivals and older friends, at once in the same person. A reflection on the collective state of the world.

One perspective of heaven is as the calmest quiet. A total peace. A bliss in which one has achieved a complete connection with the immediate surroundings into a tableau that, in both the briefest moments and longest eternities, reaches to heaven, when at long last no return happens.

One perspective of heaven is a fix that never ends. A state of ever temporary ecstatic bliss that you wish would last forever. A light suspension, a quick step and flying feeling. A friendliness that shatters the shells of strangers.

One perspective of heaven is a car going 100mph. Flying down the road through an endless expanse of desert, where you can see the world in all her natural majesty.

One perspective of heaven is a creation come to life. The last incantation uttered, and the final proving. The glory in seeing the success, and the satisfaction in a creation demonstrating mastery.

One perspective of heaven is the most epic adventure ever had. The thrill of discovery, of conquest. The richness of stories to share. The wealth of a hero. The birthright of grandchildren.

One perspective of heaven is the omniprevalence of choice. The recognition of unlimited power to shape and craft your reality. The depth of the ability to change boundless.

One perspective of heaven is a place that you work to achieve. A goal held in mind that’s lofty beyond your wildest imaginings. The place you may not want to get to, but that you hope your furthest descendants might be able to grasp, or even better to surpass.

One perspective of heaven that perfect connection. One that transcends the use of words, so that every look, every sound and posture a seamless communication. One that transcends communication, so that the minds join and become one.

One perspective of heaven is a piece come home. The last tile in a jigsaw settling into the last spot. A discovery of your perfect spot in life, where there is purpose, continuity, completion.

One perspective of heaven is a return to roots. A re-tracing of life’s steps, all the way back to the beginning. A re-visiting of every scene in retrospective, an opportunity to relive and to forget.

One perspective of heaven is in total oblivion. Where every last piece has been stripped away, its absence itself absent.

One perspective of heavenis napping in the sun. A sleep so deep one awakens without so much as having stirred the fabrics on which they took their respite. A warmth soaking into the soul, soothing restless thoughts, compelling a pleasant and irresistible drowsiness.

One perspective of heaven in a good neck massage. Fingers strong in their work, soft in the their touch, sensitive in switching between the two. A flow of scintillating pleasures dancing up and down the spine.

One perspective of heaven is a plunge into the deep end of the pool. Acceleration, impact, envelopment, drift. A total loss of direction, a freedom from seeking up from down. Suspension and support. Cooling, slowing.
