Says who?

Many have been calling on Rihanna to speak up to defend herself against the claim that she is Jamaican. Bajans are disappointed because she hasn’t spoken up and Jamaicans are tickled pink by her silence. And I wondered which side of the argument RiRi was likely to fall.

So I decided to ask her! And did she ever sing!

Here’s how she responded when I drove her to the airport after multiple sightings of her in Jamaica this past week:

Me: So Riri what have you been up to whilst #RihannaIsJamaican was exploding all over Twitter.

RiRi: Werk, Werk, Werk, Werk

Me: So how did you hear about it?

RiRi: Pon de Replay

Me: What do you have to say to the Jamaicans?

RiRi: Love The Way You Lie

Me: And anything in particular to Dr Fletcher who initiated this?

RiRi: Rude Boy!

Me: What would it take to make you respond on twitter?

RiRi: Diamonds

Me: So what do you plan to do about all this RiRi?

RiRi: Take a Bow

Me: RiRi your Bajan peeps have been dying to hear from you too. You’re about to go there. What do you plan to tell them when you get there?

RiRi: You Da One!

Me: But is that going to be enough? What else do you plan to do?

RiRi: Kiss and Make it Better

Me: And how long do you think that will take?

RiRi: FourFiveSeconds

Me: And if that doesn’t work, what else will you do?

RiRi: Stay

Me: Any thoughts about why the Jamaicans were so quick to catch on to this …and Siri too?

RiRi: they Needed Me

Me: Any suggestions for the Jamaicans to help them get over this fixation on you?

RiRi: Rehab

Me: Any final words that you want to say to the Jamaicans before you leave?

RiRi: What Now?

Me: Oh, btw, did you hear that the Jamaicans threatened to take Mia too?

RiRi: Shut up and Drive!

So I did just that!
