City By The Bay

How did we get here
Our love strangled the space between
Withered away and died with Godspeed
Blackness in the city where we fell in love

Mourned the death of our love
Parts of my soul torn a part
Believed our love was worth something more
Buried alive. It died.

City lights showed how hard life could be
How hard it is in the City By The Bay
To keep us alive is only a dream in my mind
Our home cried the night we died

How did we get here
Praying for miracles to raise the dead space
The space where we used to lay
In that City by the Bay
