But even worse, it stifles any potential constructive engagement (from your ‘oppressors’, I presume?) that would begin to address whatever issue is being perceived. If the author’s (or supporting commentors) intent is to advance the discussion by framing (or supporting) it using an unrealistic and contrived scenario, it’s a fail. A total fail.
