I love this! I once spent a couple weeks staying with a family on Hiiumaa in Estonia having the inverse experience. I was surprised by how late everyone got up and got going for the day. Granted, this was at the height of summer, so daylight was abundant, but I was surprised that things didn’t really get going until 10 AM, especially considering I was on a horse farm. LOVED the food, though. 10/10, would eat again. Especially that really rich buttery slab cake that was baked in a jellyroll pan with some sort of strawberry filling. I still dream about that.
