I’d love to also hear your thoughts on how trauma adds to the cycles of violence, and where treatment and healing for trauma for both Black men and women can fit into restorative justice, or perhaps, if it is a root cause, into transformative justice.

Having studied trauma when I was going through treatment for it, I was amazed at how much behavior and relational harm can be traced to past trauma (not always from major events) and perhaps even inter-generational trauma.
