August 26 — Welcome to my domain

Just how did I come to live on a 15-acre property all by myself? My friends arrived with questions. I gave the same schpiel five different times.

Without exception, they were struck by the same two things that struck almost every guest that visited Osprey Point during my year at TFA: its calming natural beauty and its Christian hospitality.

“Go for a walk down the pier,” I urged each one. It’s so powerful.

I whipped up a meal of leftover salmon, leftover mac and cheese, corn, and watermelon. It was nothing fancy. It demanded almost no culinary skill. But it was served with love, and enjoyed with fellowship. Friends gathered on the bay around food. This was the good life — one last time.
