For this experiment and interview, We experimented with a student and what are his boundaries for feeling crowded. I started with putting stuffs on his desk and then I asked him how he feels for each time. I find that, specifically for him, the feeling of crowded does not depend on how many stuffs there are, it depends on how much space is occupied and how much space is available for the user of the desk.
There is a kind of special thing of the student that we interviewed that he is left-handed, thus he places the lamp on the right side so that the light won’t be blocked by his left hand. Therefore for right-handed, we drew a inverse map.
