Instructions for Submissions
The Hedgehog Literary Journal for Youth is open for rolling submissions of poems, short fiction, articles, essays, photography, new media, interviews, and visual art by youth aged 12–18 (with special exceptions). Please read through our Mission Statement before proceeding.
We publish all year around. Read the guidelines below and send us your original, unpublished work. We can’t wait to see what you have for us.
General Guidelines
The Hedgehog accepts unsolicited submissions of previously unpublished writings in English, or translations of writings into English, on any subject.
The work should not appear in any print or digital publication before the release of the issue in which the work appears. All rights will revert to the author upon publication.
The Hedgehog does not accept paper submissions. Submissions received by mail will not be read and will not receive a response. The Hedgehog only accepts online submissions to the email address listed below.
