My mentor says, “horses run, people walk.” :-) You have to enjoy what you’re doing when you move your body. You also have to love the body you’re in, because that’s the only way to help it toward where you want it to go. With intense exercise and deprivation one adds stress, and a stress response doesn’t help anyone’s metabolism! We also MUST get pleasure from our food. It’s not fuel IMHO. It’s self-care and self-nourishment. Savor it! Lovely article.
