What is up with me?

I’d personally like to welcome the maximum of two people that are currently reading this. Welcome. My name is Adam, and pretty much talking to the mirror got boring so lets do this thing.

About Me:

I am 18 years old and am currently studying to become a Primary School teacher because in the immortal words of people such as Ralph Wiggum, Nelson Muntz, Milhouse and Lisa Simpson, “Children, Children, Future, Future”.

My Hobbies and Interests:

Well, where do I begin? I have been called an onion because I have so many layers, well; at least that’s why I think people call me an onion. But, I love music, all kinds of music (Screamo isn’t music), I am a singer, I play basketball and at one stage I represented Australia in the under 17’s national squad until I suffered a season ending injury and was cut from the team, bummer. I love surfing and body boarding as I find the ocean very calming and use it as an escape from society and every day life. Friends and family are a huge part of my life as I am a very extroverted person and I need them to survive. Plus, without my parents I wouldn’t really be here so I guess I am in eternal debt to them or something like that.

Why Teaching?

A lot of people struggle to pin point the exact moment in which they made the decision on what they wanted to do with their life. However, this was not the case for me. I had considered being a teacher ever since I was in primary school and my family had always encouraged me to pursue it later in my teenage years, as I had always been great with kids. Even though I had all of this encouragement, when I was 15 I wanted to be a police officer as my Pop, who is my role model in life, was a fire fighter, as he wanted to give back to the community. But he convinced me to never take a shift work job or one that puts you in danger. Then we fast forward to year 11, I was lucky enough to do a mission trip to India with my high school. We visited a primary school and interacted with these amazing kids and helped them with their school work and overall became friends with them. At was at this point that I knew I wanted to become a primary school teacher because of that interaction between the children and I.

From that moment on I have never regrated my decision.
