The future of Music is amazing with technology

If we take it seriously.

For the future understanding you must know a little about history. People explain it in different ways, this is my way of explaining it. Would love to have your suggestions.

The Cave haunting sound. You remember that?
That was the first thing happened in music history.
History of music started with the vocals only, when there was no interaction with technology or instruments. People used to sing just one note with very small variations. Try to imagine 6–10 people singing just one note with “aaaah” sound in a cave, haunting enough? The same process was being used by humans from a long time until a folk came and gave a very brilliant idea of putting teen lads with them singing the same note in higher octave. Now imagine this happening in a very huge hall. Interesting enough? That was in a some way third step in music evolution.

Guido D’Arezzo (991/992 — after 1033)

A brilliant music theorist Guido D’Arezzo, first improved and reworked standard notation to be more user-friendly by adding time signatures. Then he made this theory of vocal note scale: do, re, mi, fa, so, la ,ti, do.
After that humans knew the theory of scale. Now imagine some people singing “do” in higher octave and others are singing in lower octave and some are singing “mi”, it sounded very interesting and melodious. We call it “harmony”.

We use these theories today also.
There was just drum based music, percussion instruments being the most readily available at that time (i.e. rocks, sticks). People started singing with rhythm. Then gradually it happened in churches a lot. Since there were no speakers and all so they used to make a very nice kind of arrangement where people used to stand at some height around the corners of the building to sing so that visitors could listen to music no matter where they are standing. By then music notation was something like this:

source: google

So basically, higher the dot is more higher you sing and vice versa. People started writing music and that was a very essential invention in the music history. There were only two kinds of interest in the music i.e: Gods and demons( yup! metal was evolving too :D).
In the case of instrument inventions we have evolved very slow in the music history. In the very early ages there were flutes and pipes to play sounds and music. Then people started using string instruments. They used them and played songs for gods and demons.

John Dowland. Genre: Early music

Then “John Dowland” was making songs which were really interesting for the listeners. He was not at all interested in gods and demons but people and their emotions.You can listen to this one: Flow my tears.
It’s a very interesting composition. You should listen to it to jump in the history of music. Amazing one.

Flow, my tears, fall from your springs!
Exiled for ever, let me mourn;
Where night’s black bird her sad infamy sings,
There let me live forlorn.

Down vain lights, shine you no more!
No nights are dark enough for those
That in despair their last fortunes deplore.
Light doth but shame disclose.

Never may my woes be relieved,
Since pity is fled;
And tears and sighs and groans my weary days, my weary days
Of all joys have deprived.

From the highest spire of contentment My fortune is thrown;
And fear and grief and pain for my deserts, for my deserts Are my hopes, since hope is gone.
Hark! you shadows that in darkness dwell,
Learn to contemn light Happy, happy they that in hell
Feel not the world’s despite.

Then they started using music as the feelers or to capture emotions in plays.
Let’s move a little far now.

Adolph Rickenbacker (1886–1976)

String instruments, blowing instruments, vocals and percussion instruments were there and then a guy, Adolph Rickenbacker, who were electrical engineer invented electric guitar and founded the company “theRickenbacker Electro Stringed Instrument Company” in 1932 with the “Flying Pan” the first commercially feasible electric guitar.

Flying Pan

Then from 60’s to now Led Zepp, Bob dylan, Elvis presley, Jim Morisson, Jimi hendrix and a lot of them invented genres and tried to express different kind of emotions with different kind of music. Now people are using phone to make intrumental virtual sounds. People are playing digital instruments too.

Technology is too vast to make different kind of sounds using sound waves in different frequencies and tempo. And this normal idea of computer music can change the world of music in a very different way.
One of the nice example is Roli (I’m not a promoter for Roli but personally interested in the instrument). A “Sea board”
Try listening to it. Amazing one it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SCug5kUsBs.

Conclusion!
