Your Current Circumstance is Not Your Final Destination

Many times we limit ourselves to what we see and how we feel. We look at our bank account statements, step on the scale, get a report from the doctor, sit down at our desks at work where we are doing jobs that we really don’t like, review last quarter’s sales, feel stuck in unfulfilling relationships, or get discourage about our school grades and begin to believe that where we are is it — that there is no possible way to move beyond this current circumstance and begin to live the life we crave.
This is fear and frustration getting the best of you! YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN AND WILL MOVE PASS THESE CIRCUMSTANCES. Your current situation may be difficult to get out of. But difficult does not mean impossible.
Here are 4 Ignited Power Points I used to go from living a life that seemed impossible to escape to basking in a life that fulfills me, makes me happy, and serves others.
- Get out of your feelings of frustration and doubt, and exercise your faith! Don’t get tangle up in what “it” looks like right now. Stand firm knowing that you are meant to achieve extraordinary success in your life: That God did not plant that vision in your heart for it to stay there unfulfilled, untapped, and unproductive. You were meant to be a change agent in the world — blessing the lives of those around you with your gifts, talents, and superpowers. Believe that you are a conqueror and that with God for you, who and what can be against you?!! Faith is knowing that you will achieve amazing things in your life even when there is no evidence of such success in front of you now. I pretty much operated in faith my entire life. It was faith that helped me graduate from college, say “I do” to my husband, become a real estate investor, start a business, write a book, become a professional speaker, and be crazy enough to think that people would pay me for my gifts and talents. (Sidebar conversation: God, You are sooooo awesome!!) If I only operated in fear, none of those things would have ever become part of my reality. If I had only looked at the failed relationships around me, the poverty, the people who failed when they tried to start businesses, or if I had just listened to fear and doubt, I would not be living the life ignited that I live today. I write you as a woman who walks a total faith-walk EVERYDAY and has had success, in every way, not because of fear, but because of faith in my abilities to stand on the word of God and rise above and beyond my circumstances.
- Get Busy! Faith without works is dead. Stop complaining that “nothing works” or that “so and so” did not give you what you need or that you are “too busy”. You have everything you need to be successful. You are in charge of your life. Success or failure — it’s your choice. Do the work required to live the life you want. Be diligent and resilient. Learn and grow through your lows and work consistently and faithfully through the highs. Be intentional! Develop an Ignited Action Plan based on the vision you have for your life and begin to create the life you want to live. First step: Ask yourself, “What can I do differently today to get different results?” And please stop staying you are too busy. What does that even mean? Seriously, who is NOT busy? Everyone is busy! The question is, what are you busy doing? If you are busy, yet further away from the life you want to live, maybe it’s time you start to take a good look at what and who occupies your time and prioritize the way your time and energy is being spent. Be busy about the life you want for your family, the ways you can impact the world with your greatness, how you can thrive and leave a legacy, and how you can get out of your circumstance. If you’re busy doing things that do not serve your goals and dreams, start paying attention to what you are doing, and start making changes right now.
- Press forward towards the life you desire, deserve, or crave regardless of what others think. If I stopped pursuing my purpose with passion every time someone on the sidelines (friends and family are the main culprits), some critic, or some hater, mumbled a discouraging or nasty word, I’d still be living with my momma, probably broke, and miserable. Why? Because I would have let other people dictate my destiny! But instead, I followed God’s call on my life, believed in the brilliance I possess to follow my dreams and positively impact the world, and was determined to live a life of abundant happiness, health, and wellness. People who discourage you are generally people who believe that they cannot achieve success. So they put those feelings of discontent on you. Think about it, people who are successful never say discouraging words. And when I say successful, I don’t just mean financially, I mean people who set goals and achieve them, people who live in a level of excellence, and people who are very comfortable in their own skin. Watch and observe, you’ll see. Everyone who told me not to get married, was divorced or struggled in their marriages. Everyone who made me think that real estate investing was a bad idea, never invested in anything. And people who make fun of my healthy food choices, tend to be the most sickly people I know. (Can I keep it real??!) So glad I didn’t listen to them. Be great! You need no one’s permission or approval for that!
- Get Up Again… and Again… and Again! Success is determined by your perseverance through the series of inevitable high and lows you will encounter. Life will come at you hard. But you’ve gotta be harder. Your foundation must be planted in your purpose — your WHY. And your WHY needs to be bigger and more important that any obstacle, fear, frustration, excuse, or critic. What happens IF you don’t succeed? How is your family and community negatively impacted when you don’t do the work? So, you see, we need you to show up, stand up, show off, and when you fall, get up, and go after all your desire, deserve, and crave.
And when you get out of your rut and surpass your current situation, you will be able to inspire others with your story of faith, works, and perseverance.
