ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS

As we have mentioned before, AMMAC seeks to help mexican communities by conducting 5 different projects which are focused in nutrition, health, education and housing. We invite to volunteers around the world to contribute to make a real difference in some of the poorer communities in and around Monterrey, Mexico.

Here’s a brief description of our projects:

Compassion for all

Volunteers collect and distribute food to communities in Guadalupe, Juarez, Santa Catarina, San Pedro, Escobedo, Garcia and Mina. Other activities include working with a local orphanage, spending time at elderly care facilities and organizing medical/dental brigades.

My house is your house

Volunteers spend their days helping the AMMAC staff with the improvement of homes by constructing with fiber cement siding made of MAXITILE, an anti-flammable, anti-termite, thermic and outdoor resistant material.

Saturday School

Volunteers spend their saturday mornings teaching English, Art, Geography, Spanish, Math, Computer and Sports classes to lower income elementary school children.

After School

Volunteers offer tutories to lower income elementary students two days of the week after a regular school day.

Straight to the heart

A radio program that is airs alive every wednesday from 9.30 a.m to 10 a.m in Radio Esperanza 1140AM and that can also be listened in its webpage:www.radioesperanza.com.mx
