December 2015 Update
I hope you enjoyed the holiday season! We’ve talked a lot about manufacturing recently and I wanted to shift gears to show you some of AMP’s cool features. Today, we’ll do a quick demo of the AMP companion app.
A few months ago we shared some screenshots of the app and now we’re excited to show a demo of the latest version. The app allows you to customize the audio to your hearing, tastes, and the environment around you.
In the video below we go through the initial setup process. The first part is a hearing test that measures how well you hear high, mid, and low frequency sounds in your left and right ears independently. The second part is adding audio filters. In this step, you can choose filters based on your musical preferences that then further personalize AMP’s sound. If possible, watch the video with headphones on for the full experience!
Lastly, I want to quickly share some production updates. We’re in the process of getting our AMP units industry certified. On the mechanical side, we have kicked off cutting the tools for AMP for iPhone 6/6s. Our tooling factory will carefully and precisely cut large blocks of steel into tools for production. These tools are then inserted into injection molding machines that shoot molten plastic into the cavities which then harden into the plastic outer casing of AMP. Below is a video which shows some tools being cut at our tooling factory.
For a closer look, here are the molds that will produce the battery status button on the back of AMP.

As we enter the new year, we will continue to be busy with our next engineering build of AMPs and certification. Thank you again for your support of AMP and please stay tuned for our next monthly update.
Sincerely,
Alex Selig
