30 Day Blog-Postathon

The Daily Blog Challenge.

So I’ve challenged myself to write a blog post every day for 30 days.

I know a lot of people do this, but this isn’t me.

And that’s exactly why I’m doing it.

See I’m interested in writing. I’m thinking that writing could be a good career move. Especially with the importance that content is seeming to play in the digital world now. And I know that the only way to get better at writing, is to write.

So that’s what I’m doing.

I also saw something that Seth Godin said about writing a daily blog. He mentioned that when you start to write daily, you begin to think about what you’re going to write tomorrow.

Well that’s kind of happened. Also kind of not.

It’s now 23:06 and I’m writing this post. Writing a daily blog is hard. Especially when the prospect of sitting down and writing is still a daunting one for me. Which makes me question whether the whole writing business is for me anyway. Or maybe I’m just tired and bashing these things out is taxing!

But I’m giving it a go. Action is better than inaction in these things.

I’m also pushing myself to publish. Another stumbling block that gets in the way of a lot of creativity.

But it’s tough. It’s hard to expose your thoughts! Especially for a normal English guy who wasn’t raised to be this way. I was raised to work in some office somewhere. A nondescript desk job, in drab grey surroundings, wearing a grey suit with thin-framed glasses.

See little bit of writing there.

But anyway let’s see how this goes eh?!

I’m 7 days down at the moment!
