I’m not sure if hip-hop has ever really had issues with “selling out.”
Paul Cantor

Agreed. I believe “selling out” was just a phrase created to keep artists at a certain level. Because in these conversations “selling out” has been reaching a level of success that may or may not have been directly related to the artists respective field. Without them putting their work out, they would’ve never been recognized. Perspective.
