An augmented reality version of the iconic first level of Super Mario Bros. now exists.
  • A game developer has created an augmented reality version of the iconic first level of Super Mario Bros.
  • To make the game, developer Abhishek Singh had to adjust some of the original game’s elements so that it would be possible to be played on a human scale, for example, the height that Mario could jump wouldn’t be possible IRL.
  • After he’d worked out those issues, though, he was able to put on his best Mario costume and head to Central Park to put the game to the test.
  • Take a look at the prototype AR game above, but there’s no indication that this version of the game will ever make it to mass production.
