First Humans on Mars should bring gifts— Here’s one more reason

On August 18, 2016, at 13:16:17 UTC, Curiosity, using its Mastcam (MAST_RIGHT), snapped a picture of a rocky area on Mars (sol 1434 — precise location not indicated on this NASA page), later uploaded with numerous other images by the American space agency under the heading “Raw Images”.

Looking at this image, nothing “out of the ordinary” appears to the eye, except the majesty of the immense rocky wall. Even when you try a close-up of a particular area (image below), what you see (or think you see) are rocks, and only rocks.

Ah… but what if we pay more attention? Something — or someone — could be on this photo…

That’s interesting… But is it really “someone”? Or is it just another “hallucination”?

Or it could be a statue, which appears to be looking to her left…
If it’s a statue (which would be no less a clear sign of life on Mars!), the clothing is interesting. Note, for example, the round symbol on the chest, and the darker areas on the sleeves and the collar.

And there is one more, or maybe two, “anomaly” on that same official photo from NASA.

Although “something” could be happening at the top part of this image (I can only agree that it’s not “that clear”), my interest is with the lower part.

I will end with the beginning, for it is possible, given what we know, that my title for this report could be wrong. Maybe the “first humans” on Mars won’t really be the first. But, hey, don’t take chances now. Bring gifts anyway… It’s the polite thing to do between neighbours.

Once more, here’s the link to the official NASA image.
