Who is _rockymtndabber?

@theASAPbravo: When did you first try cannabis?
@_rockymtndabber: When I was 15 years old. I smoked for the first time under an overpass in Pueblo, Colorado. My friend (who was a very experienced stoner) and I had a random dude walk up to us and offer us a nug. Straight out of a D.A.R.E commercial shit lol. And I do not recommend this to anyone who wants to smoke for the first time.
@theASAPbravo: How long have you been smoking and/or vaping it?
@_rockymtndabber: I started regularly smoking about a year after I first smoked. So almost 8 years!
@theASAPbravo: What ignited the spark in your to start a new business venture (or become a strong enthusiast) in the cannabis industry? How did the idea for your business come about?
@_rockymtndabber: Truthfully, my Instagram wasn’t meant to be what it is today. I started it as kind of a documentation of me smoking for medicinal and for recreational use. My best friend and I, still to this day, send pictures or videos of ourselves smoking to each other to “smoke together” because we are never able to hang out. The first, original posts on my Instagram are inspired by her!
 Today, the spark comes from seeing the THOUSANDS of people who are interested in cannabis. I feel like I owe it to the world to give them any information I can on the subject, and plan to expand beyond Instagram to do that soon.
@theASAPbravo: What three pieces of advice would you give to anyone who wants to become influencers/entrepreneurs?
@_rockymtndabber:
  • Be true to yourself and your ideas. Many people will doubt you or your ideas- take it as a friendly challenge. In the end, whether you fail or succeed, you will learn something about yourself and you will have stayed true to your values.
  • Learn to accept failure with grace. There are going to be so many times where you have an “amazing idea” that really doesn’t work out well. Instead of wallowing in those emotions, learn from them and let them go. Failure is essential to learning.
  • Pay attention. Listen to what people say when they talk about problems they have in the industry, with a business, with whatever. Observe your following/business growth with statistics. Watch everything. Ultimately, the more you pay attention, the more that you can do to influence your goals.
@theASAPbravo: If you had the chance to start your career in the cannabis industry over again, what would you do differently?
@_rockymtndabber: Truthfully I wouldn’t change a thing. I’ve been involved in the industry in many ways, and I’m happy for every part they all played.
@theASAPbravo: What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur/influencer?
@_rockymtndabber:
  • Perseverance
  • Self-motivation
  • Inspiration
@theASAPbravo: What have been some of your failures, and what have you learned from them?
@_rockymtndabber: The biggest mistake I’ve made is letting stupid comments on my page get to me, and engage them. Reacting to something inside is fine, but I used to respond to negative comments with more negativity. Now, I choose to either not respond, block the individual, or respond with something positive. Even sometimes this doesn’t work out well, but I do my best!
@theASAPbravo: How long do you stick with an idea before giving up?
@_rockymtndabber: It generally depends on the idea. If it is not something that is time dependent, I will stick with an idea for years if I am passionate about it.
@theASAPbravo: How many hours do you work a day on average?
@_rockymtndabber: Between my “real job” and Instagram, I easily put in a minimum of 12 hours a day. If you exclude Instagram (for those who say it isn’t “real work”) I work a fairly typical 8 hour day!
@theASAPbravo: Describe/outline your typical day?
@_rockymtndabber: Most days I wake up, shower (mostly for pain relief now days), and drink a cup of coffee. I’ll check through my Instagram and work emails and get my “to do” list for the day ready. I am quite compulsive with my day due to my health issues, so after this point it never stays the same. Many days I spend half the day cleaning the house and the other half working. On the busy days I typically sit on the couch and bust ass with work. On the rough health days, I spend much of my time in the shower, in bed napping, or trying to get work done between pain flares.
@theASAPbravo: What motivates you?
@_rockymtndabber: A potentially better future.
@theASAPbravo: How do you generate new ideas?
@_rockymtndabber: I talk to people and discuss openly new concepts. But the juicy ones usually come to me outta nowhere!
@theASAPbravo: How far are you willing to go to succeed?
@_rockymtndabber: I don’t believe that my success should hinder anyone else’s successes. I don’t believe in backstabbing, manipulation, lying, etc. to succeed. I also don’t believe in betraying my values. So that being said, I will go as far as I morally feel I can.
@theASAPbravo: What is your greatest fear, and how do you manage fear?
@_rockymtndabber: My greatest fear is failure, oddly enough. I manage this fear by allowing myself to fail, and showing myself love and understanding when I do.
@theASAPbravo: How do you define success?
@_rockymtndabber: Success is happiness, and happiness is something that is completely in your own hands. You can be completely successful in life as long as you are happy. So to me, happiness in all circumstances is success.
@theASAPbravo: How do you build a successful audience/customer base?
@_rockymtndabber: Consistency. I notice that when I post at regular times with similar content, I will build more followers. Also appearance is key- the less distractions in the background the better (although, sometimes these are the BEST posts) and always remember to evaluate the post before actually putting it up. You want to view it from all angles and see if it is visually appealing, and of course, not offensive.
@theASAPbravo: Do you believe there is some sort of pattern or formula to becoming a successful entrepreneur/influencer?
@_rockymtndabber: Truly, no. I never imagined I would have a following or even go down this path myself, so I can say for sure that I didn’t follow any pattern or formula. I just did what I enjoyed!
@theASAPbravo: Who has been your greatest inspiration?
@_rockymtndabber: My husband Evan. He inspires me to be the best version of myself. He teaches me something new all the time, and encourages me to do the things that I love. Ultimately, his passion and his drive towards life is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
@theASAPbravo: What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur/influencer?
@_rockymtndabber: It’s all on me- I can say and do what I want (within reason) and express myself in ways that matter to ME. If I feel like taking an artsy photo one day and a silly dab video the next, I can.
@theASAPbravo: To what do you most attribute your success? What would you say are the five key elements for starting and running a successful business/influencer account?
@_rockymtndabber: I attribute my personal success to being open and honest. I think that I post about real shit- stuff people can relate to. And I try to see things from all sides.
As far as the 5 key elements of starting and running a successful business/influencer account, I would say for ME they are:
  • Consistency
  • Transparency
  • Perseverance
  • Self Motivation
  • Organization
@theASAPbravo: What has been your most satisfying moment in the industry?
@_rockymtndabber: When I was still budtending, we had a patient come in who was unable to control their symptoms with traditional medication and had been virtually told to just stay comfortable as long as they could before they died. Not only did they get off of most of their traditional medications that caused many problems and side effects for them, but they also began to heal. They did better in 6 months than I had seen with most patients EVER. CBD is amazing.
@theASAPbravo: How do you go about marketing your page/business? What has been your most successful form of marketing?
@_rockymtndabber: I personally do not market my page beyond using hashtags. So that would be that!
@theASAPbravo: In one word, characterize yourself as an entrepreneur.
@_rockymtndabber: Germinating.
@theASAPbravo: What are your hobbies? What do you do in your non-hustle time?
@_rockymtndabber: I genuinely enjoy the fuck out of video games, specifically ones with an awesome story line. I also love to read, color, indulge on good TV and movies, and cook food. When I’m feeling super well, I try to get outside as much as possible. Walks, hikes, backroad truckin, the whole nine yards.
@theASAPbravo: What makes you happy?
@_rockymtndabber: The little things. Kisses on your forehead, baby smiles, that extra yummy bite of food, a clean cut on a piece of paper, a perfect temperature dab, cuddles, good deeds, laughing way too hard, and peeing after holding it for an hour on the road.
@theASAPbravo: What sacrifices have you had to make to be a successful entrepreneur? (PRIVACY)
@_rockymtndabber: The biggest sacrifice by far has been privacy. People know a LOT of personal shit about me, and sometimes more than I would like. But that’s part of exposing your day to day life online! Otherwise, I have done my best to not let it affect my life.
@theASAPbravo: Excluding yours, what company or influencer to you admire the most?
@_rockymtndabber: Truthfully I don’t have an answer to this question at the moment, because I follow so many people that I admire the hell out of.
@theASAPbravo: What is your favorite strain and glass piece? (with a picture of the rig and the strain/concentrate)
@_rockymtndabber: My favorite piece is my Dirgeglass Goddess rig. My favorite strain is probably Flo or Blue Dream.
