We are seeking a Test Technician — Circuit Card Assembly for a very important client.

The company is looking for a Test Technician with experience working in circuit card assembly to perform operational tests and determine product acceptability and quality. Position will be on first shift for 6–12 weeks before transitioning to second shift.

Test will be run on a wide variety of complex electronic developmental and production components, sub-assemblies and systems by following test specifications, standard test procedures or general written or verbal instructions. Test platforms include multiple versions of in-circuit test (SPEA, HP 3070), and functional test platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of troubleshoot tactics, experience with hand tools and schematics, and ingenuity in identifying defects.

Skills Required:

Sets up and operates in accordance with prescribed procedures a variety of test stands consisting of multiples of standard test equipment such as pulse generators, amplifiers, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, counters, etc. Works with engineering instructions and standard test procedures to operationally test developmental products as required. Aligns and adjusts sub-assemblies and/or systems in accordance with test procedures and data sheets to comply with established specifications and acceptable performance.

Interprets test data and checks results against specifications, test procedures and data sheets to determine proper functioning and quality of product. Deviates from standard test procedures as required to troubleshoot, locate and diagnose malfunctions within the unit requiring application of technical knowledge, skill and ingenuity. Realigns and readjusts unit as required. Designates rework instructions where necessary and retest work after rework.

Experience Required:

Minimum 2 years experience working in Circuit Card Assembly ICT and Functional Test.

Education Required:

Requires an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent test technician experience.
