Shiny objects attract our attention. We tend to want and get what is beautiful to us. Clothes, books, records, paintings, shoes, furniture. The list is infinite. Some of us pile up things, become obsessed with objects that, after decades, their apartments or houses look more and more like museums. The majority of things remaining unused, if not long-forgotten.
