Tales of ordinary awakening.

As creatives, the amount of work we have to do daily to build our career and business is big. Some days we may get the sensation we’re doing it all for nothing, because before the money starts flowing in, it may take a while. A very long while. You go to a library and see the new novel by your favorite writer displayed on the shelf and you say:

“God, I wish there was my book instead.”

That’s fine, totally. Because there can be your book up there. I always picture my novel on the shelf of a very crowded library, but I cannot go on picturing that in my mind and then fall victim of writer’s block, fear of the blank page or, worse, lack of courage for I fear that my story is not good enough.

If you started to write a novel, that means you have a good idea. If after two hundred pages, you feel you have more of the half the story to tell and you’re hands are itching to go on, that means you have a great idea. If you’re getting near the end of the first draft at full speed and wish you had another pair of hands to write along with you on another screen, that means your great idea must be shared with the world as soon as possible.

I am finishing drafting my new novel these days and you know what? You should too.

*Alarm Clock is a 30-part series of tales of self-awareness and awakening. Sometimes we are blind to our inner power and we need a third eye to watch over us. And a voice to bring us back to reality, before it’s too late.
