Hi, Sohini and thanks for recommending and liking my post.
Good question; well, it depends. In the case of the 7-days novel, I was dealing with a historical figure, so I already had an actual ending to deal with. But since I wrote just about the first thirty years of Tamara’s life, I had to make up another kind of ending, one that could forshadow her future, so I left things suspended, in order for the reader to figure it out.
While I write a fiction novel, though, I don’t know how it will end, but in the outline process, I figure out two or three options of an ending, but I don’t let myself be influenced by them. I like to write enjoying the fact that things could change at the last minute, due to plot twists or unforeseen events.
So basically no, I don’t know how it will end and that makes the writing even more daring and exciting.
Happy writing and I hope to hear more from you.
