Today has been another good day at The Iron Yard. We are continuing to learn Javascript. We are working through for loops and arrays. Things are getting more fun.

Because of the large amount of prep work I did, this is all familiar territory. I am spending my free time looking ahead and learning Node. I now feel comfortable building a web app that allows you to create a list of information and add to that list via a form entry. EJS files are pretty great for adding dynamic content to the HTML page.

I’m getting ready to learn about databases in my own self-study, specifically MongoDB. This is getting more difficult. I haven’t spent nearly as much time with back-end, especially databases, but I see the value in them and know there is a lot that can be done with them. I have an idea of a possible web app that might combine two of my passions: web development and percussion. Who knows, maybe I’ll make this my final project for The Iron Yard.
