You make my belly flip

When your hand brushes mine, accidentally.

You say I love you,

With your eyes.

You challenge me to think,

In ways that aren’t my default.

You understand my fears,

And confront them with compassion.

You calm my anxiety,

With questioning that feels like a hot bath in winter time.

You need to touch,

Your walk moulds into mine,

You’re strong, and healthy,

I feel it when you hold me.

You love the mountains, ocean;

They’re your playground.

You adore sunshine — skin dark,

Your job has meaning,

And you own it.

You enjoy language

And use it intelligently.

You see the bigger picture,

With others in mind.

You choose friends carefully,

And give a lot.

You’re brimming with a purpose,

That includes me.
