Positive

I have struggled many times with negativity or depression. I was once in a tournament and opponent team was some kind of rival to us and my father was also watching my team playing which was very difficult for me to play in front of my father. Opponent team was better than our team and my father is strongly against cricket so he had threatened me that this match will decide either he will let me play in future or not. I had so much pressure that I was literally didn’t know anything about the match that what should I do. But then we played the match and I controlled myself and won the match.

Shawn Achors’ ted talk showed me ways to think positively. For example in the event above I also could have taken that pressure as opportunity and a means to impress my father but I took pressure and luckily won the match it was not any of our virtue in that match.

The real happiness comes when you accept others. Opponent team was better so I could have told my father that they are better than us but we will do our best.

Now what can we have from this Ted Talk is that we can learn to be grateful to all of those who have sacrificed something of theirs for us.

I am going to implement two things from his five points to get happiness.

1- Exercise

2- Journal about positivity.

These things will help me calm my mind and also will help me to evaluate how positive I am about things.
