The common trope of the politician who kisses the baby for the optics isn’t lost here. Clearly, however, as seen in the thousands of words of photographs, this politician isn’t doing it for the optics. I can see in these photos that he loves kids and feels like their childhood should be magical.

My favorite of all the photos in this post is the one of Obama bowing to a youngster so that the boy can touch his hair. Very few leaders are strong enough that they can make themselves subservient to a child and still command control over a nation.

Oh yeah, also, he’s just as friendly with the elderly…
