I feel you and I definitely think that there is a palpable fear to dating these days, especially for heterosexual women. (At least in my experience.) Basically straight ladies have been conditioned to believe that wanting commitment is clingy, crazy or asking too much, so they play their intentions close to the chest. I don’t presume to have an answer to that, but I do think that in every area of life where you’re afraid of rejection (work, friends, romances, creating, etc.) the best rule of thumb is to get out into the world to experience, to do what you do and the people that are into it will come. Or maybe they won’t, but if you’ve been sticking to your goals and your authenticiy, to me I feel like the world will open up for you in SOME type of way, even if it’s not what you had in mind. Does that make sense?
