Last week, I tweeted a single photo of a group of Muslims in Germany performing Eid prayers at an empty Ikea car park.
I explained worshippers sought permission from the store, in an effort to mark the religious holiday whilst observing Coronavirus social-distancing rules.
The photo went viral.
So far, it has been viewed over three million times, attracting nearly 60,000 ‘likes’ and over 14,000 retweets.
People simply loved the ingenuity of the Muslim organisers, the worshippers dedication to uphold the rules, and Ikea’s kindness.
I pitched it to BBC News online and later a news story was published…
