I think the DOM Pizza Checker is a great invention. Dominos for such a long time has made a reputation for itself for producing low-cost pizza. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but from a brand perspective, I can see not wanting to be associated with low-quality and low-cost pizza as being an important thing to stakeholders.
If it is used to identify low-performing stores, is that a bad thing? Domino’s stores are franchised and when you become a franchisee (like anywhere) you agree to a set of standards and practices, particularly cooking the recipes as intended and representing the brand in a positive way.
Domino’s is my go-to pizza place, they’re cheap and quick. And since the DOM Pizza Checker has been installed, the quality of my pizzas has been noticeably better, like, a lot better. This can only ever be a good thing.
