Accord client shortlisted in TravelMole UK Web Awards

In the TravelMole UK Web Awards, Accord client Canadian Affair has been shortlisted for their outstanding new website. The site, which was re-designed with the Accord’s help, has been recognised in the Best Tour Operator website category.
The awards were established 12 years ago to celebrate the digital efforts within the British travel industry. They recognise the best in web, technology innovation, social media, and mobile marketing. Organisers of the awards are happy to announce that the public can vote for the eventual winner in each category here.
During the nominated project, Accord worked closely with Canadian Affair on the planning and design of their new website. The focus of the project was to increase brand awareness for the company and be a launching point for integrated marketing campaigns. Accord designers worked to maintain the company’s core business, but also created a platform for them to grow into other areas.
In developing the new site, consumer input was taken into account. User experience was targeted to be easy and visually impressive. The new design used stunning images of Canadian landscapes to showcase the destination with a clear and easy-to-use search box in the centre. The site offers easy-to-find contact information, on-screen calls-to-action and worthwhile communication features. Additionally, highlighted feedback forms allow Canadian Affair to collect information about the site’s functionality and customer experience with an eye on allowing for improvement in future.
Special attention was also paid to letting the site become a hub for exciting and rich travel-related content. By integrating the blog into the homepage, users can easily access articles that help to inform their decision, creating a site that allows Canadian Affair to make better use of their content.
With voting for the best in each category lasting until the end of the year, winners will be announced at an awards dinner and reception in London on 21 January.
