Hi Tylor
The intersection of faith and science could be easily discussed (at least from my perspective) if we allowed religion to be seen as a critical evolutionary milestone of human history. The ability to articulate self-awareness in terms of a quest for meaning/purpose and even the attempt to script our existence on a larger timeline than merely from birth to death are cognitive advances that shouldn’t be ignored.
Unfortunately, the binary extremes of deism and atheism are so hotly debated that these milestones appear to be overlooked by the evolutionists. Likewise, the inability for the global church to admit that its timeline could be a subset of evolution itself, rather than superior to it, creates an equally formidable impasse.
To get past these roadblocks, though, a global shift will most likely be required from a desire to be seen by both parties as having all the answers and be replaced by a humble quest to ask better question than our ancestors.
