Texas Investment Landscape: Dark Ages or a New Beginning

Venu — Thanks for the excellent addition to the dialogue. It is clearly a well thought out and articulate response. There is great value in open dialogue and strong desire among all of the participants to grow and enhance the Austin ecosystem. With that in mind, it is my view that the broader funding environment in Austin 1. is very conservative / risk averse relative to NYC and SV and 2. lacks sufficient number of players to support the growth resulting from population influx and successful exits spawning more new company formation.

While this seems like I am pointing out a problem (and I am), I also firmly believe it represents an enormous opportunity to both provide significant returns for investors and to enhance the already nationally recognized Austin startup ecosystem.
